Dr. Wendy Weichel Murawski is the Executive Director and Eisner Endowed Chair for the Center for Teaching and Learning at the Michael D. Eisner College of Education at California State University, Northridge. She is the author of 4 books on co-teaching, collaboration & differentiation, editor of 2 books on what really works in education, author of a best-selling handbook on co-teaching, co-creator of a software system for evaluating co-teaching, creator of 4 staff development modules, and author and co-author on numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles.

Dr. Murawski is a Full Professor of Special Education. She received her Ph.D. in Special Education with emphases in Research, Co-Teaching, and Educational Administration at the University of California, Riverside. During her doctoral work at UCR, Dr. Murawski worked as a Lecturer and then Assistant Professor at California State University, Northridge in the area of Mild/Moderate disabilities. Dr. Murawski began her doctoral work at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she also completed her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Administration, her Masters (M.Ed.) degree in Special Education, and her Bachelors (B.A.) degree with a double major in German and Comparative Literature.

Dr. Murawski has worked as a secondary resource specialist and German teacher in Virginia, and as a resource specialist & department chair in California, prior to being hired by CSUN. Her primary areas of interest for research and consulting purposes are in collaboration, inclusion, co-teaching, staff development, block scheduling, creativity in the classroom, differentiation and strategies for students with mild/moderate disabilities.

Dr. Murawski has been very active with numerous organizations; she was the co-advisor for the CSUN Student Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) as well as the California State Student CEC chapter. She is the immediate Past President of the Teacher Education Division for CEC, was on the executive board for the Developmental Disabilities Area Board X, was the Chair of the Mild/Moderate Disabilities committee for the Department of Special Education at CSUN as well as its Graduate Advisor Chair. She was the Director of Research for the CHIME Institute, Associate Editor for the Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation, as well as on the Board of Reviewers for multiple other journals. She directs multiple research projects and has served as the College of Education faculty president.

Dr. Murawski was the recipient of the Dissertation award from the Division of Learning Disabilities, a research award from the Division of Research from the Council for Exceptional Children, and was Teacher Educator of the Year for the state of California from the California Council of Teacher Educators.

She is the President and CEO of 2 TEACH, LLC, an educational consulting company. Dr. Murawski is a national and internationally known presenter on the topic of co-teaching, a frequently requested keynote speaker, and is highly published in the area of collaboration, differentiation, inclusion, and co-teaching. She is known for her focus on being practical, her sense of humor, and her ability to connect with students, educators, administrators and parents.
